- Scroll down and expand the Personal Document Settings section.
- Under Send-to-Kindle E-Mail Settings, locate your device email (usually ending in
@kindle.com). Copy this exactly. - Scroll further down to Approved Personal Document E-mail List and click Add a new approved e-mail address.
- Add our outgoing dispatch domain
sync@bookbridge.topto authorize deliveries. - Enter your
@kindle.comaddress into the BookBridge app under Settings > Kindle Sync.
BookBridge currently processes, indexes, and delivers the following standard digital formats:
- EPUB (.epub): The standard industry standard for digital books. Recommended for smooth reflowable text adjusting.
- PDF (.pdf): Fixed layout documents. Excellent for reference guides, scripts, and graphical items.
Please ensure files do not contain DRM (Digital Rights Management) encryptions, as encrypted files cannot be processed or transferred by our service.
Yes! While our "Send to Kindle" automated email dispatch pipeline is explicitly optimized for Amazon's ecosystems, BookBridge runs standard local OPDS servers and browser interfaces.
Any modern e-reader with an integrated browser or native OPDS network feed support (such as Kobo's integration with Calibre/OPDS or Onyx's Android applications) can directly browse, download, and cache books stored in your BookBridge library over local Wi-Fi.
If a synced book hasn't appeared after 5 minutes, please double-check the following settings:
- Confirm that
sync@bookbridge.topis added exactly under Amazon's Approved Personal Document E-mail List. - Verify that the book file is under 50MB (Amazon's strict maximum attachment limits).
- Ensure your Kindle is connected to active Wi-Fi and not in Airplane Mode. Select "Sync My Kindle" manually from Kindle's quick settings.
- Check your Amazon account email inbox. Amazon sometimes sends a verification email asking you to click "Verify Request" before releasing the document onto your device.
To connect a custom repository, navigate to the Discover tab in BookBridge, click Add Custom Feed, and enter your XML OPDS URL link (e.g. http://your-server-ip:port/opds).
If your server requires authentication, check the "Secure Feed" toggle to store your username and password credentials securely within the iOS Keychain local storage container.
